La Girarderie was purchased in 2022 as our long-dreamed-of-escape from our busy lives in the UK.
In a short time, we have transformed the dated décor and unloved gardens into a beautiful modern countryside retreat.

Our home is situated in a small hamlet of 3 properties midway between the villages of Courleon and Parcay les Pins, in the Pay de La Loire region of France. We are surrounded by fields and most of the time the only sounds is the birds in the hedgerows, so offers a fantastic place to unwind, but if you want the hustle and bustle of town and city life Saumur is only 25 minutes away be car, with the Angers, Tours and Le Mans all around an hours drive.

Our Rental Property
La Girarderie is traditional farmstead with a collection of stone buildings surrounded by miles of beautiful countryside views (which make for amazing sunrises and sunsets!)

Our family live on site in two of the houses, with our additional one bedroom studio property - Lavande - available for holiday rentals. ​
​
All of the grounds are shared with our family with the main garden in front of the property being enclosed. There is plenty of space to find a secluded spot, and several seating areas for relaxing or eating. Lavande also has a private balcony area with bistro style seating, the perfect place to unwind after a day exploring this beautiful region.
